Your resorts 62 Crete (Chania Souda) Approaching Chania by sea, you might believe that you’ve landed on the banks of Venice – its old Venetian port will tempt you to discover more. Step into a picture postcard Greek Island town complete with pastel-coloured waterfront buildings, dreamy harbor walls and old-world aura. As Crete’s second largest town and former island capital, Chania boasts museums, churches and culture that easily satisfy a day’s sightseeing. Winding streets, seaside restaurants and craft shops also make you slow down and settle into life at a relaxed Mediterranean pace. Divided into two parts – old and new – Chania is reminiscent of Venice and Florence for its architecture, yet as you wander further along its narrow streets, you’ll get a sense of its deeply rooted Cretan traditions. And Chania’s charm doesn’t stop there. Travel further along the western coast of Crete and discover some of the most beautiful natural beaches in the Greek Islands. Corfu Welcome to one of the most diverse, verdant and fascinating Greek islands – the seventh largest and the setting of seveal myths and legends. It is on Corfu’s shores where Odysseus was shipwrecked and sent on his way, and where the god of the sea, Poseidon, is said to have settled. Corfu Town is cosmopolitan, charming and friendly. You can easily lose yourself here as you explore the narrow alleyways, soak up the atmosphere and meet the locals at one of the many cafes, bars and restaurants. You may be surprised by the Italian feel, largely thanks to the Venetian architecture, but you won’t be surprised by the Greek warm welcome. Chios With a rich history stretching back to ancient times, Chios’ mysteries and beauty capture hearts and minds as a matter of course. This ancient island is rumoured to be the birthplace of the legendary ancient poet Homer, with the Daskalopetra, or Teacher’s Stone, marking the spot where he taught his students and narrated his poems. Explore Chios on foot and you’ll weave your way from the black stone beach of Mavros Gialos and its volcanic rocks to the abandoned village of Anavatos. Seeking shelter from the marauding Ottoman troops, the local villagers fled to the nearby Nea Mono Monastery but were still discovered. Today the abandoned hillside village stands empty as a testament to their memory. While Chios has a rich historical heritage, the island has a cosmopolitan feel today. It also produces thousands of crates of citrusy fruits, from sun-soaked oranges to tangy lemons. About Onboard Packages 7 Nights 3, 4, 5 Nights 14 Nights Resorts Our Ships How to Book
